About my classes…

My group classes are designed for a mix of abilities and experience. They include meditation, pranayama (breathing practices), asana (yoga movement/postures) and relaxation. I also often incorporate myofascial release work and other techniques within a yoga application.

I am a qualified Pre and Post Natal Yoga teacher and absolutely love working with clients through this incredible journey.

My intention is to create an environment where you can deeply relax and connect with your body and breathe.

I open with a short meditation and breathing practice to release the day before and ground. We will do some lovely, nourishing stretches working with neck, shoulders, back, hips and legs. I always include some strengthening and stabilising standing sequences with variations to suit different practices. My classes end with a long, guided relaxation allowing you to completely switch off and float into the rest of your evening.
If you would like to join or have questions about yoga or anything else just send me a message.

Yoga means ‘union’.

This is what I wish to teach.

Yoga is a method for connection. Connection to the body, the breath, to nature, to ourselves, to each other and to divinity. This sense of union is not dictated by our physical flexibility or strength but rather by our intention on our mat. When yoga is approached this way I believe it can be a powerful and inspiring practice for persons of every age and ability.

The ultimate goal of yoga is to become aware of our oneness as part of the greater consciousness. Through physical practice and the breath we can find pieces of union. The union of our mind and body using the breath as a bridge. The union of movement between gravity pulling us down and our exertion pushing us up.

The body has its own language formed by our biology and our personal history. I work with people to help create connection, balance and contentment in this language.

I first trained in Kundalini Yoga, then in a more traditional ashtanga vinyasa style and completed my advanced 300hr training in therapeutically oriented yoga. More recently I have trained as a Pre and Post Natal yoga teacher, in Myofascial Release for Yoga and Yoga for Women’s Radiant Health and Wellbeing. Each of these practices has given me gifts and insights into the many ways yoga can enrich our lives physically, emotionally and spiritually. My classes, both individual and group, bring together elements from these disciplines to care for you holistically. My greatest goal is for you to fall in love with yoga and yourself.

“I love, appreciate & look forward to my weekly yoga class at Allihies. I reap many benefits in mind, body & Soul. Ella's class flows ,  grounds, inspires wellbeing ,  shows how well prepared & at one with yoga & all she is. I feel so blessed & grateful. Mile buíochas X .”

“I have done yoga all over the world and I’ve never connected with a practice in the way I did with that.”
